Martin
Performance Institute technology is based on the fact
that all or at least many of life's experiences are
stored in the subconscious portion of the human mind.
According to Larry Cahill, a researcher for the Center
for the Neurobiology of Learning and Memory at the University
of California Irvine, the brain has two memory systems
-- one for processing ordinary information and one for
handling emotionally charged events.1
Emotionally charged memories are stored in the subconscious
portion of our mind with anger, grief, fear, etc.,
associated
with or attached to them. These emotionally charged
memories can create "blocks" as we sometimes
refer to them, which oftentimes inhibit performance.
These "blocks" are also responsible for
much of the self-sabotage and health challenges people
experience.
Identifying these blocks and guiding our clients
in eliminating them is what the Martin Performance
Institute
is all about. The unique process we utilize is not
psychology, psychotherapy or psychiatry. Rather,
since emotions
are physiologically based (neuropeptides looking
for a receptor site)2 they can be affected using
MPI technology. The process is non-threatening, non-invasive,
and very effective. Results are often immediate.
